SEC. 01 / BIO

Jordan Orsak grew up in East Bernard, Texas, playing small-town sports and farming and ranching alongside his grandfather, where the work got done before sundown, no excuses. A marketing degree from Texas State took him to Halliburton, running wireline logging crews across South Texas through the oil boom: long hours, heavy equipment, zero margin for error.

He moved to Los Angeles to back his partner’s acting dream and started over the hard way, working for free on big-budget sets to learn the craft from the inside. Then he founded FilmPro, and went on to direct, write and lead-edit the award-winning documentary Delivering Hope.

Today he shoots high-speed action, adventure athletes, aviation and documentary photojournalism on the Sony α1 II and Hasselblad X2D II for brands including Apple, Impulse Space, ARC Boats, Flexjet, Delta, Hyperice, Diesel Barbershops, Embraer, Bose and the NFL. Every client gets a crew chief’s discipline, a storyteller’s eye and the drive to chase the frame until it’s right.

SEC. 02 / PROJECT / EPIC AIRCRAFT

Doors off over the Pacific.

The work landed on the cover of FLYING, Issue 960, July 2025.

Collaborating with the Epic Aircraft team was an incredible experience. Working alongside aerial coordinator Kevin LaRosa and aerial DP Michael Fitzmaurice, Jordan shot all over the Palos Verdes Peninsula, just south of Los Angeles.

In the afternoon the team ferried over to Catalina Island and used the remaining evening light, shooting all around the north, south and west sides of the island. Doors off on the helicopter, windy, loud and exhilarating: collaboration at its finest, and one of the highlights of his 2025.
